Highest stakes. Fastest feedback loops. No escalation path. Scope creep, constant. Priorities shift without warning.

Best job I’ve ever had.

It’s 5AM on a Saturday. Coffee. Quiet. The smell of oak. A brisket that’s going to take all day whether I like it or not.

Low and slow. Deliberate. Nothing to optimize. Mostly just standing outside, thinking about things that don’t fit neatly on a calendar.

By 5PM, the family’s fed. Maybe a few inquisitive neighbors…

I’m the guy who will try to explain tech to your grandma.

Always have auxiliary projects – app builds, smart home integrations, experimental AI use cases. I love the challenge of stitching tech together in new ways. If there is an API that doesn’t need to be pulled, I’ve pulled it.

You can’t outsource curiosity, I suppose.

When I was 6, I wanted to be a director when I “grew up” — not an actor, or an astronaut, or an actor who plays an astronaut. I was as interested in the ‘making of’ featurettes on my Star Wars VHS tapes as the films themselves: ILM, miniature AT-ATs, and all the “greeblies”.

The movies remind me that growing up is optional.
